Kaigama advises Christians to witness Christ in their dealings

The Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama has declared that the resurrection of Jesus is a call to evangelization, even as he asked Christians, particularly Catholics to witness Christ in all they do.

Archbishop Kaigama, made the declaration during the Easter vigil mass at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Maitama, Abuja.
The archbishop assured Christians that no one who witnesses Christ in his life, behaviour and thought or who has had an encounter with Christ that is without a testimony.
He admonished Nigerians not to give up even in this difficult times that the world is facing the threat to life caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
“Be still and know that there is God. There is hope with Christ even in the darkness, your future is brighter,” Kaigama said.
The cleric said though the world is going through a serious crisis ranging from economic and religious crisis to marriage problems, yet with Christ, Christians will conquer visible and spiritual powers and forces waging war against the world.

He urged Christians to shun violence, self-centeredness and pride, but to embrace humility and love for one another.
He however, said the coronavirus is a blessing in disguise as it has brought nations together, “speaking with one voice for the common good of the world.
“It has also brought families together in prayer and bridged religious differences and tribal sentiments.”
