Judge’s elevation: Court slates Sen. Nwaoboshi’s case for Oct. 2

The planned trial of a People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chieftain, Sen. Peter Nwoboshi, could not go on before a Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos on Monday following the elevation of Justice Mohammed Idris.
At the instance of all counsel, the case was consequently adjourned until Oct. 2 for mention.
Senator Nwoboshi was arraigned on a two-count charge of money laundering and fraud filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Nwaoboshi, who represents Delta North in the National Assembly, was arraigned alongside two companies namely: Golden Touch Construction Project Ltd and Suiming Electrical Ltd.
He had pleaded not guilty to the charges.
