JOS DISCO appeals to customers on data capture for newly installed pre-paid meters

Jos Electricity Distribution Plc (JED), has appealed to her teeming customers in Benue, Plateau, Bauchi and Gombe states not to be despaired as a result of the delay in the capturing process upon installation of the new pre-paid meters in their premises.
The Spokesman of the company, Dr Friday Adakole Elijah in a statement made available to our correspondent, disclosed that JED was working assiduously towards ameliorating the situation.
The Company according to him has deployed more personnel and materials to all the affected areas in order to stem the tide, stressing that in a couple of days the delay would become a thing of the past.
The Company urges its esteemed customers to remain law abiding by not indulging in act of bye pass of meters, stressing that any customer found culpable of energy theft, Illegal Connection and vandalisation of the network and order illegalities would be prosecuted according to law.
The Company also reassures her customers of continuous improvement in service delivery as well as timely resolution of any reported complaints
