Jonathan Campaign Coordinator Escapes Mob Attack

Co-ordinator of Goodluck/ Sambo Campaign Organisation, Jigawa State chapter, Alhaji Yusuf Alasan, escaped unhurt when irate mob descended on him on alleged diversion of campaign funds.

This was at the conference hall of the state Manpower Development Institute, Dutse, where the co-ordinator took to his heel for his dear life.

The youths, in their hundreds, were drawn from the 27 local government areas of the state, as the supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were invited to come to be part of Transformation Agenda of Nigeria (TAN) and campaign for President Jonathan to be reelected, come Saturday.

Trouble started shortly after the occasion ended, when the youths demanded their fee but, to their surprise, the co-ordinator told them that everyone of them should leave him alone, promising that they would be sent an alert.

The information did not go down well with the youths. Thereafter, the situation degenerated to exchanges of abusive words and blows.
