Joint Task Force Disrupst IPOB Gathering , Arrest 10, As Manhunt For Leaders, Others Continue

No fewer than 10 members of the Indigenous People of Biafra have been arrested during a raid at the Onitsha/Obosi wing of the proscribed zone of IPOB during a secret meeting by members., It was confirmed.
Some of the arrested members include Nnamdi Chukwudi, Barnabas Eze, Chukwuemeka Nnaji, Pedro Agwu and Thaddeus Agunyi .
A statement by the Nigerian Police made available to journalists in Anambra stated that the joint task force operation between the police and the Nigerian Army during a coordinated raid for some of the leaders of the proscribed IPOB and its members arrested 10 members.
The statement further stated that the manhunt for one of the leaders of the group identified as Aladum Chukwuemeka Wilson known as the strategic leader of in Onitsha/ Obosi in Anambra State had commenced following his sudden escape during the raid of the secret meeting.
It was gathered that some unconfirmed number of persons were killed during the raid of October 20th 2023 while others managed to escape as sporadic gunshots were reportedly fired at members of Onitsha/ Obosi wing of the proscribed IPOB group during the raid.
It was said that the joint military task force after the disruption of the gathering of IPOB members leading to arrest of 10 members, several homes and businesses centres owned by members of IPOB members were reportedly attacked for the fleeing members as it was gathered that no arrest was made.
At the time of filling this report, the Anambra State Command in a statement further disclosed that the Command had further intensified efforts to apprehend all fleeing members of the proscribed IPOB adding that all arrested members would soon be prosecuted pending the completion of investigation into the allegations of treasonable felony against members .
The statement further added that the Command in synergy with other security agencies had launched a manhunt for the fleeing Aladum Chukwuemeka Wilson and other members who were deemed as extremely dangerous in the society.
