Jay Z Scouts for Fresh Talents in Nigeria

Jay Z, who paid $56 million for a newstreaming musicservice called Tidal has sent his cousin Briant ‘Bee-High’ Biggs who is also a Roc Nation executive to Nigeria to scout for new talents.

Bee High was spotted with raving Mavin artiste, Dija and apparently something big may be cooking.

Tidal is co-owned by Jay Z, Kanye West, Beyonce, Madonna, Rihanna, Jack White, Alicia Keys and others.

In his Sunday stream of tweets, Jay Z stressed that the service pays a 75 percent royalty rate to all artists and not just the high profile founders who appeared on stage at the launch.

Other info he shared under the hashtag #TidalFacts included that ‘iTunes Store wasn’t built in a day’ and ‘It took Spotify 9 years to be successful.’

Tidal has come under fire after its launch in March 30. The service offers high fidelity and lossless audio quality at $20 a month.

And after spending a brief moment in the top 20 of the iTunes App Store charts following the launch, it has now plunged to the lowly position of number 872 in America.

Meanwhile, This will be Bee-High, second trip to Nigeria following his presence at the 2014 Social Media week.
