Iwobi permanent solution to Super Eagles lack of creativity – Christian Chukwu

Arsenal star Alex Iwobi could be the permanent solution to the Super Eagles lack of creativity in the midfield after he shone in the 2019 AFCON double header against Libya, according to former Nigeria coach Christian Chukwu.
Iwobi was played in central midfield against Libya in the absence of captain Mikel Obi, he was influential in the 4-0 win in Uyo and also held his own in the 3-2 victory in Tunisia.
He has previously played on the left wing of the Eagles.
Iwobi is a young player who could be the permanent solution to our problem in the midfield,” remarked Chukwu.
He should continue to work hard so that he could take over the position completely.”
Iwobi Earns Rohr Praise
An impressed Gernot Rohr described the Eagles midfield led by Iwobi as “brilliant” after the big win in Uyo.
Iwobi in this central (midfield) position is interesting,” commented the Eagles coach.
“He can deliver decisive passes and he can also score goals.”
