ITF DG gets Blueprint’s excellence award

Director General of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Sir Joseph Ari has received Blueprint Newspaper Award of excellence, in recognition of his contributions to job creation and youth empowerment.

Receiving the award on Tuesday, Ari who was among 15 persons honoured at the 2018 Blueprint Impact Series and Awards in Abuja, said the award would further motivate him to deliver on ITF mandate of reducing unemployment and creating wealth in line with the agenda of the present administration.

The Manager, ITF, Corporate office, Abuja, Alh. Aminu Mohammed, who represented Sir Ari said the award would spur him to do more in the economic development of the country.

He disclosed that the Fund Model Skills Centre would be upgraded to degree awarding institution, to further boost youth and women empowerment across the country.

The ITF boss, while calling for more support and collaboration of stakeholders ITF programmes, however advised unemployed youth to take advantage of ITF skills and vocational training initiatives, so as to become self-reliant and contribute to national economic growth and development.

Earlier, Chairman, Blueprint Newspapers Ltd, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, explained that various categories of awards given to the ITF boss and other awardees, were in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the growth of the society.

He therefore reminded the awardees to see the recognition as an encouragement to do more to strengthen the unity and security in the country for national development.
