IPOB sensitises for referendum in Port Harcourt

Members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra have embarked on a door-to-door campaign in Port Harcourt distributing flyers calling on people to prepare for an impending referendum.

An IPOB member who was distributing the flyers in D-Line, Port Harcourt, said that the referendum was imminent. When told that the Nigerian Constitution does not recognise a referendum, he replied that IPOB does not recognise the Nigerian Constitution.

Many of the people who agreed to speak were of the opinion that the Nigerian state needs to be renegotiated, however, many, especially those from the South-South who spoke, still said that they do not support Biafra.
