Iorfa set for England duty

Wolves imposing Nigerian right back Dominic Iorfa has been invited to the England U-20 side for friendlies against Mexico and the United States of America next week.

It is only his debut season as a first-team player and the teenager has successfully forced his way into Kenny Jackets’s squad at the Molineux.

After his debut for the U-18 side against Belgium, in 2013, Iorfa was promoted to the U-20s in 2014 and made his debut against Portugal.

England’s U-20 team will play Mexico on Wednesday March 25 and the U-20 team of the USA on Sunday, March 29.

Although he was unavailable last December when Nigeria’s U-23 manager, Samson Siasia, invited players to the team, Iorfa is still eligible to play for Nigeria.

Iorfa has won man-of-the-match awards at Wolves and also won the Football League Young Player of the Month Award for January.

Interestingly, his father, Dominic, is a former Nigerian international.
