INSECURITY: Police Parade 81 Suspected Bandits, Kidnappers, Others
On Wednesday, the Nigerian Police Force presented 81 individuals detained between April and May 2021.
The suspects were detained for a variety of offences, including kidnapping, banditry, armed robbery, illicit gun possession, and illegal manufacturing and distribution of number plates, according to a statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba.
According to a police spokesman, the suspects were found with 45 different riffles, including 17 AK-47s, 20 locally produced AK-47s, and one GPLG.
Mr. Mba stated that the country’s current security issues will bring out the best in the force.
