Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation has been commended for its giant strives and remarkable contributions towards the development of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in Imo State.
Imo State Commissioner for Technology Development, Nze Meekam Mgbenwelu made commendations in Owerri, the state capital at the weekend, saying that the foundation has invested no less than N24 Million in human capacity development and job creation in the state.
Nze Mgbenwelu said that the funding has been directed to training prospective JAMB candidates in Basic Computer Appreciation and Computer Based Testing to enhance their performance in the JAMB examination in 2020 and beyond.
He further disclosed that the Foundation, “is poised to grant full scholarships with Laptops to the best two performing JAMB candidates from each of the 27 local government areas of Imo state in 2020 bringing the total number to 54 candidates”.
“Every Imo citizen as well as the government is appreciative of the immense contributions of Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation to the development of the state.

The Foundation has shown selfless and genuine commitment towards the Rebuild Imo Agenda and has invested hugely in ICT development and job creation in the state in an on-going basis.
“I can conveniently say that with the commitment of the present administration to ICT development, with healthy partnerships and support from the likes of Chief Leo Stan Ekeh, Imo State will soon be a state to reckon with in ICT and human capacity building,” he said.
The Commissioner therefore urged other organizations and well-meaning sons and daughters of Imo state to emulate Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation and key into the human capacity development of the state government.
