Imo Govt declares Biafra agitator, Chimdi Ndu wanted

The Imo State Government has declared one Mr. Chimdi Ndu wanted for his alleged involvement in the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
Our correspondent reports that this was contained in a public announcement signed by the State’s Commissioner for Information.
Ever since Hope Uzodinma became Governor, Imo has been a hotbed of clashes between IPOB members and security agencies. This is despite the agitators claiming that they remained an unarmed self-determination movement.
But in the statement by the Imo State Government issued on April 25, 2021, it said Ndu is wanted by the Government and the Police for being a second in command to one Nwaokike Kayinayo Andy, A.K.A Ikonso.
Ikonso, it could be re-called was killed in his house by security agencies, a development that generated public outrage.
The statement by the Imo commissioner reads: MR CHIMDI NDU ‘M’ Second in Command to Nwaokike Kayinayo Andy, A.K.A Ikonso WANTED BY THE IMO STATE GOVERNMENT AND THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE, IMO STATE COMMAND, IMO STATE NIGERIA.
“The above named person is hereby declared wanted by the Imo State Government and the Nigeria Police Force. A warrant of arrest has been duly obtained from a Magistrate Court in Imo State against his person.
“Mr. Chimdi Ndu is declared wanted after a fierce battle with the joint Nigerian Security Forces where Nwaokike Kayinayo Andy popularly known as Ikonso, the then ESN commander and other staunch members were killed, over the offence he allegedly committed in the course of his separatist campaigns in Imo State, Nigeria.
“He is an Igbo tribe, aged 48 years, His features include: Nose: Broad; Mouth: Large; Teeth: Good; Height: 1.80m; Face: Round; Lips: Thick; Eye: Brown; Chin: Round; Complexion: Fair; Hair: Bald; Head: Large; Fore head: High; Facial face and visible sign: Nil.
“If you have any information concerning this person please contact Imo State Government House or any nearest police station.”
