Ikpeazu lacks capacity to turn Abia around, says guber aspirant, Adiaso

A governorship aspirant and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Prince Chemberlin Adiaso has expressed disappointment over the leadership style of the Abia State governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, saying that the governor has failed to provide infrastructural development in the state.

He said the governor lacked the capacity to govern the state, attributing Ikpeazu’s alleged failure to the influence of godfathers who installed him as governor.

Prince Adiaso who made his feeling known in an interview with an online news media, promised to revamp moribund state-owned infrastructures and industries in the state and create massive employment for the people of the state.

He said, “Governor Ikpeazu has not been able to marshal out his plans for Abians in terms of infrastructures and then manpower development. He has not shown he has capacity to govern Abia State.

“What is obtainable in Abia as at now is godfatherism. Ikpeazu has not been able to exhibit his actual potential to govern the state, a state that is endowed with human and natural resources.

“When I’m elected as governor, I will marshall out plans on how to make Abia great again. That’s why people like us have joined the governorship race to change the face of governance in Abia State.

“Also, if I emerge as governor of the state, the first 18 months, you will see the revitalisation of the Golden Guinea Breweries and Modern Ceramics Industry. We have glass industry in Aba, which has gone moribund over the years.

“Under 18 months, all the moribund industries I mentioned would come to life.”
