Ihedioha’s aide, Onyechere, fetes physically challenged persons

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Imo State on Information and Advocacy, Ms. Adaora Onyechere last week celebrated the New Year with physically challenged persons in Ihube, Okigwe Local Government Area.

Onyechere in her address reassured them of the governor’s determination to carry everyone along irrespective of class, tribe, place of origin and birth. She also stressed that advocating and reaching out through welfare and empowerment of these persons with disabilities are one cardinal points of the current in the administration in the state.

She further disclosed that, “Governor created the Ministry for Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups under the watch of Mrs. Nkiru Ibekwe to address the plights of the downtrodden in the society,”

“We connect and try to bridge the gap between the rich and poor in the society so, a time like this is a period to celebrate these special citizens because it takes an administration with a human face to help fellow Imolites.

That is why we have taken it upon ourselves to come to Okigwe, to make sure these very important citizens of our dear State feel loved and appreciated in the society.’’

‘‘We are here to celebrate with these special citizens and also give them a sense of belonging because we strongly believe in adding value to humanity and people with disabilities shouldn’t be deprived in any way because of their situation.”

She assured that is encouraged by the faith of the people had in his administration and could be only intensified through interventions across board to make the state a leading example in the South-East and the country.
