IGP Flags off Primary Health Care Workshop
The Nigeria Police Medical Services (NPMS) has received a boost, with the flag-off of a five-day, capacity-building workshop by the acting Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon E. Arase, at the International Peace-Keeping Training Centre, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The workshop is aimed at strengthening the primary health care delivery service in the NPMS.
Arase remarked that the programme was strategic for a healthy police force, in the realisation of its desire to stamp-out all forms of criminalities in the country.
The opening ceremony, which had in attendance Dr. Ado Mohammed, (Executive Director-National Primary Health Care Development Agency), Dr Linus Awute (Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health) and other resource persons, would have in attendance heads of police medical facilities across the country.
