Igbo youths frown at attack on AI
The Igbo Youths Forum (IYF) has condemned the attack on the Amnesty International for its report which alleged that the Nigerian Armed Forces killed over 150 members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the Movement for the Actualisation of Biafra (MASSOB) and other Biafran activists.
The President of the Forum, Comrade Kenneth Emeh, said in an interview that the attack by one Rev Christe Amor, of Stand Up for Nigeria , a civil society organization on Amnesty International showed obvious partisanship on the group as a civil society.
He said the case of Amor was a clear indication that some civil society groups were set up by government to hold brief for it and Stand Up Nigeria is one of such groups if actually it is a Civil Society organization.
Emeh said Amor like that of the Bible that denied the people of God water when in the wilderness was “an agent of darkness to truncate the move for the sovereignty of the people of Biafra” but was sure would definitely fail.
”Where was he when IPOB members were massacred in a church at Nkpor near Onitsha by the Nigerian Army allegedly commanded and peopled by the Hausa-Fulani soldiers. As Civil Society group, they suppose to be neutral but they are not, which means they are government stooges. Where were they when the Fulani Herdsmen killed over 200 Igbos in Nimbo, Uzo-Uwani Local Government of Enugu State, when our sister was murdered in Kano and the the killers were set free,” he asked.
Emeh calling on Igbo youths to wake from their slumber said they cannot watch while Ndigbo were being massacred, staying “we will join forces with other Biafran activists to liberate Ndigbo. Whether they like it or not Ndigbo must be liberated. Before the amalgamation we were on our own. We want to be on our own now and we cannot fold our hands. Biafra must be a reality”
The youth leader lambasted the former Lagos State Commissioner, Tsav for his continuous attack on Igbo race, saying that Tsav, although, a Tiv was suffering from stooge mentality of the Hausa –Fulani oligarchy.
