Igbinedion Varsity matriculates 624

The Igbinedion University, Okada has matriculated 624 new students for the 2017/2018 academic session. Performing the 19th matriculation in Okada, Ovia North East Local Government of Edo State, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Eghosa Oshagae, urged the student to shun any act capable of jeopardising their future in the school.

He said the institution is equipping students not only in academics but also entrepreneurship which according to him, will make them to be self employed and also employers of labour.

According to him, the policy trust of the institution is a culture of excellence which produced qualified graduates in all field, adding that it graduates had performed excellently in professional examinations across all fields.

“As you are taking the matriculation oath, bear in mind that the institution has zero tolerance to social ills and as such you have to face your studies so that you can graduate successfully and maintain our culture of excellence,” he said

Osaghae however appealed to parents to support the institution in its determination to give quality education to their wards, noting that collaboration between parent and the institution is needed to maintain the academic standard already set by the institution.

The matriculation students were drawn from college of Business and Management Studies, Engineering, Health Sciences, Law, Natural and Applied Sciences and Pharmacy.
