A new Vice Chancellor has assumed duty at the nation’s premier private university, Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State.
He is professor Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye. Prof Ezemonye took over from Prof Eghosa Osaghae who presided over the institution for 14 years as Vice Chancellor.
On assumption of office, the new Vice Chancellor promised to sustain the developmental strides of the out gone VC and to work assiduously to move the university to greater heights in line with the vision of the founder, Chief ,Dr, Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin kingdom.
Prof Ezemonye is a renowned professor of Ecotoxicology and an Environmental Forensics in the department of Animal and Environmental Biology, University of Benin with over 30 years of experience in research and teaching.
