Ibru was promoter of peace, justice, says Orji

Immediate past Governor of Abia State, Senator Theodore Orji has commiserated with the people of Delta State and Ibru family over the demise of Olorogun Felix Ovuodoroye Ibru, who died in Lagos, Saturday, at the age of 80.

In a press release by his Media Adviser, Mr. Don Norman Obinna on Sunday, Sen. Orji described the late Ibru as astute leader and entrepreneur who contributed immensely to the development of our great country, adding that his statesmanly advice will be highly missed.

He said Ibru was a nation builder and a role model whose death came at the time his wealth of experience was highly needed by government to stir the country forward.

“He was a disinterested promoter of peace and equity; a detribalized Nigerian who was ready to sacrifice his life for the unity of our country. We will miss him so dearly, may his soul rest in perfect peace,” Orji said.

He also offered condolence to the Ibru’s family and the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, praying that God will grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
