Ex-President of NSE, Inuwa, dies in Kano

The Nigerian Society of Engineers has announced the death of one of its former President Engr Ibrahim Khaleel Inuwa.

Inuwa was the 16th President of the NSE and the first person from the Northern part of Nigeria to head the engineering body.
According a Facebook post by the NSE Inuwa died on Monday at his residence in Kano.
The NSE said Dear Distinguished Colleagues,It is with heavy heart but with total submission to the will of the Almighty Allah, that I officially announce here the painful demise of one of our revered Past Presidents, Engr. Ibrahim Khaleel Inuwa, FNSE, FAEng, OFR (President of NSE, 1989 – 1990). Engr. Inuwa passed on peacefully earlier today at his residence in Sharada NNDC Estate, Kano.
On behalf of the Council and entire membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, I have conveyed heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased.
I urge us all to pray for Almighty Allah to grant the family, Kano State Government and the entire engineering family comfort and the courage to bear the loss. We also pray that He wades off the wind of death that has hit our nation in recent times.
May Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and accept his soul in paradise. Burial arrangements will be as announced by the family.Engr. Babagana Mohammed, FNSEPresident
