I will fix the problems of FCT NULGE, says Bappah

The Mandate Secretary of Area Councils Services Secretariat (ACSS), Mr. Adamu Abubakar Bappah, has promised to resolve the most challenges facing the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE) FCT chapter.
Bappah made this disclosure during a NUGLE courtesy visit to his office late last week towards finding solutions to its prolonged leadership problems.
The Secretary said the Administration will work hand in hand with the union, adding that he has gone round to the Area Councils and heard some of their challenges concerning the issue of their pension of which the retirees have no access to.
Bappah said the Secretariat will work hand in hand with the Area Council Service Commission to make sure they put smile on the faces of the retirees.
Bappah further stated that a monitoring committee would be set up in all Area Councils to ensure that all payment is made to the designated councils though a tabulated template for payment has been made to ease the payment process to various councils, adding that by the end of December it will all be sorted out.
He also assured the union that he will not sit down and watch officials and staff rundown the Area Councils.
In response, the President of the NULGE Abuja chapter, Mr. Abubakar Yakubu, appreciated the Secretary and thanked him for accepting them.
Yakubu, who spoke on behalf of the members of the union, said that Secretary has gone round all the Area Councils and is aware of the problems they are facing, adding that though these problems did not start today, but with proper management and good governance the problems can be overcome.
He also stated that their November salary has not yet been paid to them, and that they are also been owed pensions.
