Why I visited Aba – Enelama

Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Okechukwu Enelama, has explained why he was in Aba at the weekend.
Speaking while in the area, the minister said he was in Abia State as part of his on-going industry tour, stating that the Federal Government is committed to bringing policies that foster industrialisation in the country.
Enelama explained that industrialisation and diversification of the economy remains the focus of the present administration headed by President Buhari, adding that his visit to Abia State was an opportunity to check the vision that the state has for industrialisation.
The Federal Government, he said, is committed to making life easier for investors doing business in the country as it is committed to providing investors with the right business environment, pointing out that it is important that the economic agenda of the country in the South East is addressed.
He appreciated the Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu and his team for helping the industrialisation policy of the Federal Government, noting that the Governor has remained clear on his commitment.
The Minister said that his visit to the state has reinforced Federal Government commitment to working with Abia State and promised to support a Chinese owned steel company, Inner Galaxy Company located at Ukwa West with incentives.
Earlier, Group Managing Director of Inner Galaxy Steel Company, Mr. Andi Lu, described the Minister’s visit as an encouragement to investors and appreciated the federal and Abia State for their continued support and appealed for support from the Federal Government by way of tax holidays and financial assistance from the Bank of Industry.
