“I know those responsible for illegal mining” – Amotekun DG

The Osun State Security Network Agency’s Director-General, popularly known as Amotekun, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, has reportedly made serious claims against those who are behind the state’s illicit mining.

As gathered by Daily Times, Shittu said highly-placed persons are behind the illegal act.

The Amotekun chief also threatened to reveal the names of the perpetrators if anybody dared him.

However, Shittu commended the state governor, Gboyega Oyetola, and the Federal Government for supporting the security outfit to arrest the illegal miners.

Recall that the Osun State Joint Task Force arrested 27 illegal miners in the state, comprising 17 Chinese nationals and 10 locals, including a local traditional chief.

The illegal miners were arrested following a coordinated sting operation around Ilesa and Ife axis of the state.
