I am very happy in Liverpool – Sadio Mane plays down Real Madrid speculation
Liverpool forward, Sadio Mane has insisted he is happy at Anfield, despite speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid this summer.
Mane, however, refused to rule out a move to the side he believes are the “best in the world” in his quest for trophies.
The Senegal star scored Liverpool’s equalizer in the Champions League final against Real last month, but they ended up losing 3-1 to the LaLiga giants.
In the aftermath, a report suggested Mane had agreed a deal in principle to move to the Santiago Bernabeu, before Zinedine Zidane’s shock resignation as manager.
When asked directly by Austrian newspaper, Salzburger Nachrichten, whether he was moving to Real Madrid, Mane said: “I am very happy in Liverpool and my contract will last for three more years.”
