It’s as if you have a connection with DSTV, and Africa magic, most of their events you handle them?

It’s called hard work, no connection. Its discipline and focus. If you know anything about DSTV they don’t compromise standard and also Africa magic never ever compromises on standards so I concentrate on working hard and making sure that I met every standard they proved and beyond that it’s just the Grace of God that I have that is giving me the shores that I have its not any special, personal relationship it not just about personal relationship its beyond that we have relationship with most people in Nollywood.

You have been on the Voice Nigeria platform for two years, how will you describe the journey?

It’s an amazing journey, it’s a loving show, it’s full of love, it’s all about the lovely show, and it’s different from any other singing competition in the world. Whether you have to criticize or not; our job is to make stars out of people and enjoy the role while we do that and encourage other people to join the journey. So for us it’s the journey of love and it’s the best show in the world.

Idyl emerged the winner of the season two of The Voice Nigeria; do you think Nigerians made the right choice of winner?

Like I said, my involvement in the voice Nigeria is not to judge the contestants; my job is just to be the presenter of the show and make sure everybody is comfortable at the end of the day. For me I am happy about the show and Nigerians voted their choice as the winner; the fact also is that I will have been happy if every of the contestants won because they all deserve it but it’s a show and only one person can become the winner.

You have carved a niche for yourself in the industry both locally and internationally; how do you feel whenever you are called upon to handle shows?

Well for me it always a privilege it’s not a right if you know the land scale of entertainment in Nigeria there is so many talented people then you; so you  should count yourself lucky to be on point; you know there is so many talented singers, presenter,  actors and actress that any time you get a job shouldn’t just say because I deserve it because there are millions one people outside who also deserve it, you should say to yourself am fortunate, my scale is to be rewarded by somebody out there so that’s a  nice concept called  positioning.

So what do you think is so special about you then?

Well, that question seems not answerable for me because I don’t know what else to say order than the grace of God that kept me going all this while.

You look good!! What is the secret?

Thank You, grace and I mind my intakes too because I don’t want to lose my present weight; and also my designers is a genius, he makes me come out looking dapper at all time.

How then do you keep fit?

I work out; I run about 6km three times a week and lots of stuff at the gym.

You have made a name hosting Big Brother Africa, and this year Big Brother Naija many people thought you were going to handle it, unfortunately, you didn’t so how did you feel and what’s the reason for it?

Well, I didn’t feel bad at all because Big Brother Naija is a complete deviation from big brother Africa and it is completely right and proper for them try to go a different direction from me hosting and the story could not have been sweeter than having someone who was in Big Brother Naija the first edition to be the host of the show, it was a perfect choice I think he did a fantastic job hosting the show, I was super proud of him

For the past years you have hosted Big Brother, how would you describe your experience?

It’s a show that develops your life presenting skills, you learn so much on the show; it’s one of the biggest shows and format in the world in terms of share manpower that it takes to produce the show, the number of cameras, the number microphones, the number of spinning areas all happening at once and the number of people watching around the world all at once. There is no bigger platform to learn on and it was a perfect setup for me to have learnt on the big brother to host the voice. It was a perfect privileged to host that and then I might get the chance to host biggest music show in the world.

With your busy schedules; how then do your family cope?

Well she is used to it, she is tied up with this life because she knew when she married me that some days or holidays were included like I wouldn’t make Sundays, I wouldn’t make holidays, I will miss wedding parties, I will miss birthdays she knew about it before she decided to marry me, I made it clear and she is a very understanding woman of which I don’t think any entertainer has my kind of woman.

What other talents are we yet to see from IK?

I have a lot of stuff on my table, me working with Africa Magic, I have developed few new skills and am going to be showcasing a lot of them. Just keep your fingers crossed.

Your shows highlight with IK what other new things are you bringing on board?

Well, we have changed, ended highlights with IK, we are looking to develop new content and a new format to work with DStv and Africa magic and those are the things we need to look out for.
