‘I Broke Up With My Girlfriend Before Signing With Davido’ – Mayorkun
Davido Music Worldwide records artiste, Mayorkun, has dismissed the idea that he had a special lady in mind when he wrote his trending single, ‘Sade’.
According to the ‘Eleko’ crooner, he didn’t even have a girlfriend as at the time he signed his record deal as he broke up with his girlfriend just two months earlier.
“I broke up with my girlfriend like two months before I got signed because of my bank job. I was too occupied and I didn’t have time for the girl.
“It wasn’t like I had one babe that inspired the song. Most times, I like to sing about my personal experiences but that Sade is fiction from a freestyle.
Maybe some of the verses were personal stuff but generally, I don’t have any Sade. I’m still looking for my Sade though,” he explained to Planet Tv.
