Homosexual beaten to death, gay partner declared wanted

A suspected homosexual, Ifeanyi Udom has been beaten to death by an irate mob said to be mostly members of the Eastern Security Network, ESN.
The ESN is the militant wing of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, who are said to be hiding under the guise of Unknown gunmen to commit crime in the South-East Zone.
A community source hinted that Ifeanyi was making love with his gay partner, Nwobodo Obinna Henry when the ESN members, who were acting on a tip-off swooped on them.
A community source told our correspondent that the incident occurred at Nkwere in Imo State where Obinna had gone to visit his male girlfriend on Sunday, 3rd July, 2022.
The source hinted that the ESN members stormed the area at about 9pm and found the two young men engaging in sexual affair, an act considered a taboo by both native and criminal law.
The source hinted that “we have been monitoring their activities for quite a long time.
“You know such an act is a taboo; so that fateful day, 3rd July, 2022, the neighbours observed the same thing and alerted the ESN.
“When they got there, they discovered that they were actually making love. They forced the door open and pounced on them.
“While the beating was going on, Obinna managed to escape but his love partner and host, Ifeanyi was beaten to death.”
The source added the leadership of the community promptly reported the matter to the police but that efforts to arrest Obinna had proved futile.
“For us in the community, we have disowned and excommunicated Obinna because what he did is an abomination.
“Sex is supposed to be between a man and a woman and not the other way round. So, he has ceased to be a member of our community, anywhere we see him around the community, he will face our wrath and that of the gods,” a community leader said.
Meanwhile, the Imo State Police command confirmed that Obinna has been declared wanted.
The said suspected homosexual, Mr. Nwobodo Obinna Henry is wanted by the Police for breaking the law of the country and he is also wanted by the villagers for committing an atrocity that is punishable by death.
“Anybody who knows his whereabouts should assist the police with information,” the police spokesman said.
