Gunmen Take over Polling Unit in Osun
Some thugs armed with guns have reportedly taken over a polling unit in Osun State.
The unit, which is categorised as one of All Progressives Congress stronghold in the area, is identified as Town Hall Polling Zone in Ilase-Ijesa area of Obokun Local Government Area.
It was gathered that efforts of security operatives to restore order didn’t yield immediate effect.
“The security personnel came and the thugs ran away. Not long that the police left, the thugs came back again,” a resident of the area said.
Another source in the area confirmed that there were sporadic shootings in the area.
