Gunmen snatch money from aspirant as he declares intention

Gunmen numbering four on Thursday opposite Umuahia General Post Office snatched a Ghana-must-go- bag with suspected cash from the media aide to an All Progressive Congress (APC), chieftain, Dr. Uche Ogar who later declared his intention to remove Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu from government house.
Eyewitnesses disclosed that the victim who drove in a Primera car was double crossed by the gunmen in a Toyota Camry.
According to the sources, three of the gunmen came out while brandishing Ak-47 riffles.
While one tried to control traffic, another was at the steering, as two others surrounded the victim, dragged him out, carried the bag containing some money and zoomed off without firing a single shot.
All efforts to get official reaction from Ogar proved abortive at press time while he was sighted at the APC secretariat in Umuahia to address party faithful.
