Gunmen Kill El-Rufai's Campaign Coordinator
Gunmen, on Tuesday, killed a local campaign co-ordinator of Kaduna State Governor-elect, Malam Nasir El-Rufai.
Mr. Markus Ishaya, it was gathered, was trailed to his village located in Atuku Kasa, Atuku Ward of Jema’a Local Government Area and was shot dead.
“He was instrumental in the massive votes the APC candidates got in our area. He did very well in mobilising support for El-rufai. I called his line, but it was not going through. Later on, his family informed me that he had been killed by gunmen,” a resident, Mock Kure told Daily Times.
One symapathiser said: “May Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest and give his family and friends the fortitude to bear this painful loss.”
It was gathered that the killing of Ishaya brings to ten, the number of members of APC that have been killed in the state during the election campaign and its immediate aftermath.
