Gunmen kidnap twins, others in Zamfara
Suspected gunmen abducted twins and more others in Zurmi local government area of Zamfara state. The twins and their sister were kidnapped at Dauran village when they visited their sister in her matrimonial home in preparation for their wedding ceremony slated at the end of the year.
Their father, Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf said the girls visited their sister in Dauran village when the incident happened.
The father of the twins further explained that when the gunmen struck they forcefully had the door to the house opened by removing it entirely, went away with the girls after they kidnapped four others in the community.
The Vice Chairman of Zurmi Local Government Area, Alhaji Abubakar Dauran said the state is in difficult situation and something urgent most be done to curtail it.
He said nowhere is safe in Zamfara as kidnappers and armed bandits are having a field day adding that in recent times more than 15 people were kidnapped in 5 communities of his local government.
