APGA

Secretary to Governor Willie Obiano Re-Election Campaign, Mr. Primus Ugochukwu Odili, has said that no amount of threat will stop supporters of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) from supporting the party.

Odili stated that as the secretary of the re-election campaign for Governor Willie Obiano, his office has continued to receive a steady stream flow of complaints to threat to life from party supporters who thronged the office on daily basis to lodge such complaints.

He said that such were the machinations of opposition elements, who according to him, were hell-bent to obtain political power by every means possible irrespective of the aftermath on the masses.

According to him, the party has come to stay in Anambra State and no amount of malevolent tendencies will preclude the party from maintaining its stronghold in the state and beyond.

Odili, who spoke with journalists in Awka, disclosed further that some supporters of the party alleged that they were being threatened on the phone that if they continue to support APGA, they will be dealt with ruthlessly.

Odili pointed out that he has reported the threat calls to the security agencies to enable them take appropriate action on the matter as the party was not prepared to join issues with any political party.

He also revealed that a giant billboard along Zik Avenue Awka bearing the image of the governor was demolished by supporters of opposition parties but he said that APGA will not be deterred nor distracted by the wiles of enemies of the party.

Odili equally described as irresponsible and unacceptable for someone vying for the office of the governor to address an incumbent as a thief, stressing that it is unprofessional and very unbecoming of a gubernatorial candidate, noting that Obiano’s re-election is incontestable.
