Guber Poll: Ihedioha Lobbies Imo APGA for Support

The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) governorship candidate for Imo State, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, has appealed to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) supporters to vote for him in the forthcoming governorship election on April 11.
He said that he was the only candidate that could wrestle power from the incumbent Governor , Rochas Okorocha of the All Progressives Congress, (APC).
Ihedioha, who made the appeal on Monday in Owerri, at a social reception organised by the APGA candidate for Owerri Federal Constituency, Hon. Dan Ikpeazu, expressed gratitude to the people for welcoming him saying that with his national and international connections, he would provide sound leadership devoid of discrimination.
He stated that he had been upright and faithful in his political career, adding that if they voted for him to become the state governor, he would rule with the fear of God.
“When I was elected the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, people thought it was not right for me to accept it because the position was zoned to the South West and Speaker to the North, but, thank God, the situation was reversed, they wanted a leadership that they could trust, and can be faithful to them, that was what led to my emergence. We would have been sidelined completely in the scheme of things. This was possible because you have somebody like me.
“I have done things that were significant in my area. I attracted the Elele-Owerri road, which is being executed at the cost of N23.5 billion, I attracted Aba-Owerri road which Rochas Okorocha is claiming he did, which is not true, as everyone knows that the governor could not and has never provided a quality road like that before”, he added.
Ihedioha noted that, “this is the time for Owerri zone to join hands and take over power, which had been denied them for 16 years. Orlu zone had ruled for 12 years, under Achike Udenwa and Rochas Okorocha, Okigwe, for four years, under Ikedi Ohakim. Now, it is the turn of Owerri zone to produce the next governor, but, you must join hands to struggle for power, we must protect the zone and restore the dignity of Owerri zone,”
Ihedioha said.
