The Governing Board, Responsible Business Award Nigeria in conjunction with the management team of info- consumer service will be celebrating and rewarding Leading Sustainable and Responsible business and individuals in Nigeria,

who have shown strong commitments, disclosure, and implementation of environment, social and governance (ESG) framework.

Also, to be honoured, according to the group, are companies who are committed to promoting any aspect of the SDGs.

Schedule to hold on the 15th December, 2017, at Knight Bridge Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos State, the seminar/sward ceremony with the theme:

“the impact of sustainable development goals in business strategies in Nigeria, is to deepen the understanding of Sustainable and Responsible business and individuals in Nigeria toward national growth and development.

Speaking on this development recently in Lagos, one of the organizers of the event, Eneojo Edegbo Danjuma disclosed that, “nfoconsuming Services has assessed and categorized the nominees based on their programs, project and initiative targeted towards the 17 Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).

According to him, because the SDGs provide immense opportunities for companies to develop sustainable solution in their business models, the awards is aim to raise awareness about the role organization play with emphasis on Responsibility towards stakeholders.

He pointed out that, what nominees and awardees will benefit from the award include; an opportunity to showcase their ground-breaking initiatives to global audience, enhancement of their corporate reputation and build trust with key stakeholders,

home and abroad, create opportunity to reward their team for their hard work and make them proud employees, raise their profit as an award-winning organization among others.

He said, “The list of the nominees include; Seplat, Huawei, SABMiller, GE Nestle, Total, Sahel, Samsung, FBN Holding, Olam Holdings, Sc Johnson & Sons, Promasidor, Guinness, Shell, Fidelity Bank, GTB, 9Mobile, Chevron, Airtel, and BOI etc.”
