A group, Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ) has called on President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that good governance becomes the hallmark of his administration which it will ride on for the next four years. In a statement by its director, Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaiman, the group condemned the ongoing agitation over who gets what and how?, calling on General Buhari (rtd) not to allow his government to be derailed from its electioneering campaign promises by the caricature and business as usual politicians in his party. The CHRSJ stressed: “General Buhari should know that people are yearning to see the fruitfulness of his electioneering campaign promises within the very short period of time and expectations of Nigeria people are high from his government, anything short of that may be doomsday for his administration. Security, corruption, economy should be given priority within the first three months of his administration and to achieve this feat, Buhari must ready to step on toes of corrupt politicians within his party”. While advising General Buhari to appoint men and women of impeccable characters into his government, Sulaiman therefore, urged Buhari to ensure that ‘politics as usual’ should not becloud his sense of judgment in appointing members of his government, insisting that Buhari must work hard to improve the lots of Nigeria people.
