Group applauds FG on recovered funds, says Nigeria on path to recovery

The Buhari Media Support Group has applauded the ongoing efforts of the Buhari administration in fighting corruption. This followed the recent disclosure of the recovery of looted funds running into hundreds of billions of Naira, Dollars and Pound sterling by the federal government.
The group, in a statement by Mssrs Muhammad Labbo, Coordinator, Cassidy Madueke, Secretary said it was not surprised that the administration has achieved the feat considering that President Muhammadu Buhari has for long identified corruption as one of the major problems afflicting the nation.
According to the group, it had always said without the integrity of the President, it would not have been possible for Nigerians to realise the level of looting perpetrated under the PDP administration adding that there was no doubt that the huge amount of money looted would be channelled towards projects that will positively impact on all Nigerians including security, infrastructure, social services, health and education.
The group decried a situation where a few individuals use their privileged positions to siphon public resources, thereby short-changing the generality of the people, stressing: “with the level of poverty level in Nigeria, it is indeed disheartening that Nigerians were mindlessly defrauded to the tune of trillions of naira and billions of dollars.
It appealed to all Nigerians “to give their unalloyed support to the Buhari administration in its determination to curtail corruption in our public life, and recover all looted funds for the benefit of all Nigerians”, adding: “We must bear in mind that this administration means well and is working in the best interest of all Nigerians, and as a people we can only reciprocate by supporting the efforts of the administration”.
