Governor’s aide urges opposition to support Tambuwal’s administration
Senior Special Assistant to Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state, Alhaji Yusuf Dingyadi, on Thursday urged opposition leaders in the state to support the state government in its efforts to develop the state.
Dingyadi, who made the call in Sokoto, said Gov. Tambuwal’s pledge to work with every politician demonstrates his maturity and willingness to move beyond politics in bringing about development of the state.
The aide commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other stakeholders on the peaceful conduct of all elections in the state, and urged leaders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to prevail on members of the party to be apostles of peace.
According to him, the Peoples Democrat Party (PDP) government in the state would continue to execute policies toward improving the well-being of the people.
Dingyadi explained that the state government has floated youths and women empowerment schemes, and is working to complete projects started by the previous administration.

He urged the people of the state to be law -abiding and shun any group or individual promoting violence and thuggery.
The governor’s aide commended civil society organisations, community based organisations and traditional rulers for supporting the administration and in promoting peaceful coexistence in the state.
He assured that the state government remains committed to the fight against banditry and other crimes, and solicited for more support from the general public to ensure the success of the campaign.
