Governor of Borno and Chairman, Northern States Governors’ Forum, Kashim Shettima, travelled from Maiduguri to Katsina State on Sunday on a condolence visit to the family of late Ibrahim Coomassie, former Inspector General of Police who until his death, was Chairman of Arewa Consultative Forum, a body of elders from Northern Nigeria.

Shettima had previously sent a message of condolence on behalf of all 19 Governors in the north before he followed it up with a personal visit.

Accompanied by some senior government officials, Governor Shettima was received by Alhaji Dahiru Coomassie, younger brother to the late Coomassie at the residence of the deceased in Katsina town.
