Gov Sanni Bello assures NYSC members of adequate security

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has assured Corp Members serving in the state of adequate security during the 2019 election.

The Governor, represented by the state Commissioner of Water Resources, Mallam Mamman Musa, spoke at the swearing in of new Batch C corps members posted to the state.

The Governor revealed there was collaboration with the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and security agencies that will guarantee a hitch free exercise during the civic duties engaged by the corps members during electioneering process.

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello stated that he was optimistic of safety that will positioned the NYSC scheme to discharge it duty as a non partisan ad hoc body of INEC.

He finally urged the Corp members to instil the spirit of dedication and use the quality of their imagination towards nation building, adding that NYSC scheme is an instrument of National Unity and integration that had forged socio-cultural ties across ethno-cultural divides of Nigeria.

The Chairman of Niger State NYSC Governing Board, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Isah Ladan, was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the office, reiterated the state government effort towards the development of NYSC in the state.

He said the present administration had given priority to youth engagement and development which had impacted greatly in making corps member entrepreneurs at the end of their service year.

The NYSC Niger state Coordinator, Mrs Theresa Ibukun Arokoyo confirmed that a total of 1982 corps members had registered for 2018 Batch C orientation Course, with a total female corps members of 998 and male corps members of 984.

The Coordinator assured that the scheme will plays a pivotal role in the execution of successful and credible election in the country.
