Gov. Lawal inspects project sites in Zamfara 

The Governor of Zamfara state Dr Dauda Lawal has inspected the sites of ongoing and completed projects within the state.

He went in the company of the Honourable Commissioner, Zamfara State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Lawal Barau Bungudu, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Engr. Haruna Dikko, including the Senior Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Architect Ibrahim Agigi to inspect several infrastructural projects within Gusau metropolis.

According to the statement signed by Jamilu Bello, the Information Officer, Ministry of works and infrastructure, the inspection tour covered key public facilities and road projects, including the Investment House, Zamfara State Police Headquarters, Central Police Station, Gadar Abu Magaji Road , Army Barracks,  as well as the ongoing remodelling of Masallacin Yar Dole and Masallacin Tudun Wada.

The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure worked closely with His Excellency during the inspection exercise, providing detailed briefings and showcasing the progress of ongoing and completed projects across the metropolis.

The visit was aimed at assessing the level of work executed, ensuring strict adherence to approved specifications, evaluating the quality of materials used, and confirming overall compliance with required engineering and safety standards. It also provided an opportunity to identify areas requiring improvement and to ensure that contractors deliver projects in line with the vision and expectations of the Zamfara State Government.

Officials of the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, while speaking during the inspection, reaffirmed the commitment of the Dauda Lawal–led administration to delivering durable, people-oriented infrastructure that will enhance security, stimulate economic activities, and improve the general wellbeing of the people of Zamfara State.

Governor Dauda Lawal expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded on some of the projects, while directing relevant agencies and contractors to promptly address observed shortcomings to ensure timely completion and value for public money.
