Gov. Diri set to release list of commissioner-nominees

Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has said he is set to release his commissioner-nominees list.
Diri who met with the Council of Traditional Rulers in Bayelsa, said in a recent statement signed by his Acting Chief Secretary, Daniel Alabrah, that he was mindful of the people’s expectation concerning the constitution of his exco, also seeking their patience and understanding.

He said: “Since I became governor, I have not met with our traditional rulers as a council. So I’m happy to be here today.
“Now that we have dispensed with most of the litigations, let me inform our royal fathers that I am ready to constitute my executive council from next week.”
The governor charged them to work with his administration in promoting peace and stability in their communities, describing them as community leaders closest to the people.
He admonished them to remain apolitical in the administration of their kingdoms.
