Gov Bindow promises to empower more women, youth in Adamawa

The executive Governor of Adamawa state,Senator Mohammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow on Monday promised to empower more women and youths in the state.
Bindow made this known while receiving the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Adamawa branch who paid him a courtesy call in Government House Yola.
The governor encouraged women to participate in socio economic activities of the state, adding that their contributions would add more value to the socio economic life of the state.
He promised to assist the union to complete secretariat, adding that the state would equally support the women lawyers to attend international conferences in Bahamas.
Bindow also explained that his administration was committed to change the perception of the people over governance.
He noted that the hitherto perception of the people of the state over politics wast hat of crisis and instability.
He added that his administration has brought political stability as well as redefined governance to the people.
The also noted that the bane of bad governance was insincerity on the part of leaders, adding that his ‘dream team’ has sumounted the challenge, leading to the construction of 219 kilometre roads in the face of the recession.
Earlier, Mrs Halima Abdurlahaman, Chairperson of the association in the state commended the governor for his giant stride development in the state.
According to Abdurlahaman, your developmental projects have cut across all parts of the state.
The leader solicited the governor to complete their uncompleted secretariat.
She also appealed to the governor to assist FIDA to attend the forth coming FIDA international conference in Bahamas come Nov. 2017
