Goals galore in Ilorin: Etisalat U15 School Cup Wrap

It was a festival of goals in the opening day of the Ilorin centre which produced 14 goals in three games

It was a one-sided affair at the Kwara township Stadium as Fosla Academy, Abuja ran riot over Government College, Keffi, recording a 5-0 victory in the opening clash at the Ilorin regional centre.
Fosla’s Prosper Ojukwu was the hero as he netted four times to help the FCT representatives crush their Nasarawa counterparts in the Etisalat U15 regional contest.
Ojukwu grabbed his hat trick inside the opening 27 minutes before netting his fourth of the day from a penalty spot after Shina Kumater had increased the tally.
The four-goal hero nicked the man-of-the-match gong after his individual brilliance silenced the Solid Miners.
Benue 3-2 Cross Rivers
Mbagwa Community Secondary came from behind to topple their Cross Rivers counterparts in another five-goal thriller at the Sheik Abdulkadir College pitch in Ilorin.
Akeem government Secondary school secured their lead in the seventh minute but failed to deal with strikes from Korun Kaun and Kenneth Sesugh with five minutes to half time.
Mbagwa Secondary School extended their lead to 3-1 through Ula Richard’s 46th minute strike as the Cross Rivers side’s equalizer in the 52nd minute failing to stop the Benue side from earning a winning start.
Kogi 1-3 Kwara
Socrates Secondary School, Ilorin only needed the opening first half to secure a comfortable win as they overpowered the wasteful Confluence boys at the Sheik Abdulkadir College pitch in Ilorin.
Kunle Olusegun fired the state of harmony representatives in front from a free kick before Peace Timothy made it 2-0 from a goal-mouth scramble after a Saheed Olomigbono’s spectacular goal.
In the fierce second stanza, Yahaya Hassan of Alh-Azhan International College managed to pull one back for what turned out a consolation for the Lokoja based side.
