Give recognition to Lagos LCDAs, monarch urges FG

The Federal Government has been urged to give special recognition to the 57 local government councils and local councils development areas in Lagos State so as to bring governance closer to the people and speed up the development of local communities in the state.
This appeal was made by the Odofin of Alimosho while speaking in an interview with newsmen recently in his palace, noting that the recognition of the LCDAS was long overdue considering the importance of the state to the country and also the state being home to virtually all tribes in the country.
On the current agitation for division and restructuring of the country, the monarch stressed that the unity and oneness of the country was the responsibility of all Nigerians, adding that dividing Nigeria was not the solution to its current woes.
Speaking further, the Odofin, applauded the performance of the governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Abode, noting that the administration had transformed the state since he assumed office.
