Giggs: I’d love Modric at Man Utd!
The Welshman is a big fan of the Real Madrid midfielder although his dream to have the 31-year-old at Old Trafford looks impossible, with him only recently having inked a new deal
Ryan Giggs has revealed that he would love to see Luka Modric sign for Manchester United.
The Real Madrid midfielder was strongly linked with a switch to Old Trafford during his Tottenham days although eventually decided to make the move to the Bernabeu in 2012.
And United legend Giggs would still be delighted to see the 31-year-old sign for the Red Devils, telling UEFA: “Croatia have great players and my current favourite is Modric – I would love him to join Man Utd!”
That would appear an almost impossible dream for Jose Mourinho’s side, however, with Modric having only signed a new four-year deal with Madrid on October 18.
Indeed, the Croatia international revealed that it is his desire to end his career with the Liga giants, insisting he is part of the “best club in the world”.
