Ahead of Saturday’s governorship and state Houses of Assembly election, the Fulani socio-cultural association, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, has assured the Governor of Nassarawa State, Tanko Al-Makura, of their total support at the polls.
The group said that with their support, Al-Makura, of the All Progressives Congress (APC), would win for the second time.
National president of the association, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, made the pronouncement during a meeting with the executive committee members, and Fulani leaders (Ardos), at the association’s national headquarters in Nasarawa State.
He said the governor had been doing much for the progress of the people of the state, adding that he was not a tribalistic politician and had become part of the Fulani. Bodejo noted the statement of former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, in which the latter said that ‘governors who defected from PDP to APC were like Fulanis, who migrated from one place to another’, made them realise that Maku did not have good intentions for the herdsmen.
