FRSC to conduct road audit in Anambra

The Federal Roadsafety Commission ( FRSC ) says plans are underway for the commission to conduct its third quarter road audit in Anambra state.

The commission said the essence of the road audit was for the commission to identify failed portions of federal and state roads in Anambra and thereafter draw the attention of government to such areas for prompt remedial actions .

The State Commander FRSC, Mr Sunday Ayayi disclosed this while addressing some newsmen in his office at Awka, Anambra state.

Mr Ajayi cautioned motorists to limit their speed, especially during this period and as well avoid overloading which according to him had endangered people’s lives.

“Motorists should exercise caution and adhere to traffic rules; cooperate with the FRSC and other traffic officers who will ensure minimal discomfort of motorists during the period.”

“Demarcation with traffic signs have been made on appropriate routes to follow and our men will be on the ground to control traffic.

He however urged every road users to ensure observation of traffic rules as defaulters would be highly prosecuted.
