FRSC cautions motorists on foggy weather . As Oyeyemi urges drivers to use good wipers

The Federal Road Safety Commission has warned rned that motorists should be cautious due to the change in weather condition that is now foggy and makes visibility blurred and impeded
According to, Corps Public Education Officer, FRSC, Bisi Kazeem, it is imperative to urge motorists to drive carefully, avoid blind spot overtaking, apply common sense speed and put on headlights and tail lights due to poor visibility from foggy weather so as to see and be seen . He observed that most part of the country is affected with more critical situations around the northern axis of the country .
Kazeem said following prescribed speed limit this period is no longer necessary as motorists would not be able to see far ahead nor notice obstructions.
He said the weather is equally accompanied with hazy condition that brings dust that is equally hazardous . According to him , the Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi says this is the time for vehicles to equally meet the minimum safety standards with good wipers, good head and rear lights, effective braking system and mechanically efficient .
