Frequent missing car hire operators unsettles Delta

…Police search for perpetrators
The incessant missing of car hiring operators across Delta State has continued to unsettle the State Government including Law Enforcement Agencies.

While investigation revealed that no fewer than ten car hiring operators between December 2017 and January 2018 had been reported to have been missing by the police, strong indications are that the missing car hires operators may have been kidnapped by ritualists currently prowling purposes.

Expectedly, the State Police Command through the Image maker, Andrew Aniamaka, declared a middle-aged man, Okoro Stephen missing.

According to the Police Image Maker, the victim, a car hire service operator, until his sudden disappearance, was a resident of 17, Otomewo Close Agadaga Ekpan Warri in the State, adding that the victim had been missing since November 17, 2017 when an unknown person hired his vehicle’s services to Benin City, Edo State.

With registration number GRA 749KH, Toyota Camry, the car hire operator is a native of Ekwakwa, Agbarha Otor, and Urhobo by tribe.

But investigation revealed that there has also been reported cases of missing car hire operators in Asaba, one of such is one Emmanuel Oge who reportedly drove a customer to Okwe in the wee hours of the day and never returned.

A member of the family of the victim, Glady Okoie who spoke with our reporter, said the matter had since been reported to the police who are currently investigation of mysterious circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the car hire operators.

Meanwhile, the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Ogwashi-Uku Division, Superintendent of Police Tobi Debakeme has been commended for his outstanding performance and for working without fear or favour.

Pastor Difference Odili, the Chairman of the Association of Registered Progressive Politicians (ARPP), Aniocha South Chapter made the description in a chart with newsmen at Ogwashi-Uku.

He said the DPO is a man full of wisdom and intelligence in handling issues, adding that he was a Combatant Police Officer that has zero tolerance for criminals.

Pastor Odili stated that peace that now reigns at Ogwashi-Uku and its environs is due to the leadership quality of the young DPO, saying that he performed his duties with the fear God.

Pastor Odili, who was also the Chairman of patent medicine dealers, Ogwashi-Uku zone, noted that the people of the area now sleep with their two eyes closed as a result of the effective performance of the DPO and his team.

This ARPP Boss, described Supol Debakeme as knowledgeable, adding that he was an educated, sound, renowned and refined Police Officer, rating him as one of the best DPO, Ogwashi-Uku ever had.

He said his wisdom could be compared to that of Solomon in the Bible, when it comes to handling sensitive issues, saying that the people of the area were so proud of him.

Odili equally used the medium to appeal to youths in the area to live their lives in the fear of God and abstain from social vices capable of cutting their lives short.

He said that youths were the bed rock of every nation and that they should be committed and focus mostly on God, for the purpose of peaceful and fulfilled future.

The patient medicine dealers Chairman said that a well-trained child would not only be a blessing to the family but the nation in general, appealing to parents to train their children in the fear of God.
